Lemon Gum Eucalyptus(Eucalyptus Citriodora) is a graceful shade tree that grows well in Los Angeles and Orange County. Native to Austrailia, but well adapted to Southern California. They can reach a height of well over 60 feet. Lemon Gum Eucalyptus perfere well drained soil but will tolerate heavy clay soils. The leaves are very fregrant when crushed. Like most other species of eucalyptus, Lemon Gum branches are on the brittle side. These trees are very drought tolerent, but established trees respond well to deep watering.
